Don't Stop Praying

We have an important election coming up and the weight of our nation’s future feels heavy. In uncertain times like this, it can help to remember that prayer remains a refuge for us as believers. That’s why here at KSBJ we are excited about the "Don't Stop Praying" campaign—a powerful reminder for Christians across our city and beyond to lift our voices in prayer for our leaders, our communities, and the heart of our nation.

"Don't Stop Praying" invites families and individuals to display yard signs that serve as both a statement of faith and a call to action. These signs are more than just decorations! These placards serve as beacons of hope and as reminders to keep our focus on God.

The Importance of Praying for Our Country

In all seasons of life, it’s crucial that we continue to keep our hearts turned towards God and this is especially true with a contentious election on the horizon. Prayer is a critical tool for making sure that we keep our attitudes in check. We live in polarizing times and it’s easy to feel like anyone who doesn’t fully agree with us is somehow our enemy, but the reality is that people across the entire political spectrum are children of God. He loves each and every one of us.

Let’s pray for wisdom for our leaders, for safety for our poll workers, and that we would see each other through the eyes of Jesus. When we pray, we actively participate in God’s plan for our country, no matter the outcome of the election.

A Testament to the Power of Prayer

A sweet KSBJ listener recently told us a beautiful story with us that really shows the impact these signs are already having. She said that as her husband was finishing his morning run, he noticed a man on the sidewalk in front of their house. He thought at first that the guy may have dropped something or was tying his shoes, but when he got a little closer, he realized that the man was actually kneeling and praying right there in front of the yard sign!

The man paused in front of that sign to talk to God because the sign reminded him that God could hear him, even in front of a stranger's house. The woman who shared the story with us said, “I wish that my Ring camera had caught it! But most importantly, God caught it.”

Join the Movement

You are invited to be a part of the "Don't Stop Praying” campaign by displaying a yard sign in front of your house too. It's a simple yet powerful way to declare your commitment to prayer and encourage others to do the same. We are excited to see these signs showing up on lawns across the Houston area and we’d love for you to have one! We have a few more pick-up stops left, click here to see when we might be near you.

As we join together on this journey, remember that God hears you and your prayers matter. Each one can lead to a ripple effect that touches lives and communities in ways we may never fully see.

Let’s commit to being people of prayer and to remember - Don’t Stop Praying. Our country needs it and our hearts will be transformed through it. Whether it’s in our homes, on our streets, or in our churches, let’s unite in prayer and trust in God’s plan for our nation.
