Will Blue Bell Make Our New Flavor?

Those are the words you want to hear when you're making a pitch. And that's what Jimmy Lawhorn, CEO and President of Blue Bell, said about our breakfast inspired ice cream flavor upon tasting it. We got the opportunity to sit down with him, as I recently found out I am his 2nd cousin one removed. Basically, his grandpa and my great grandma were brother and sister. In this conversation, we hear more about Blue Bell and what Texas means to them, the hard work of ancestors, and we chat a LOT about ice cream. Why do some flavors go away? What his HIS favorite flavor? And how many cows are needed to make all that ice cream?

Now, just because he said nice things about our flavor doesn't necessarily mean they will produce the flavor. As you'll find out, it's quite the process to select a new ice cream flavor!
