A Christian Talks to Mormons
Posted 9 months ago - Jan 20, 2026
From: CarderWhy is it so hard to talk about faith with someone that believes differently? I've thought this my whole life. My fear is that it might turn into a fight, or maybe worse, that I'll walk away feeling like I misrepresented Jesus. Whether that be in character or knowledge.
But there is a need for us to have these conversations. I want to know what people believe and be able to lovingly respond. That's why I've started this podcast, Between Beliefs. My goal is to have guests that will share what they believe, so that I won't believe internet memes about what they believe.
My first guests were missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, commonly known as "Mormon" missionaries. These are wonderful young men, and we had a great, friendly conversation. There are areas where we agree, and there are areas where we don't. Join me as we dig into the LDS church's belief over the next several weeks!
