When Our Feelings Deceive Us (with Hope Darst)

One of the hardest things in life is to go AGAINST your gut. When fear kicks in, our natural self can take over. I've seen it and lived it: humans can convince themselves of anything. One awful memory I have of high school is when my baseball coach was mad at us, so he made us run all afternoon. No practicing drills, just running. I thought "I'm going to die here today". It was the biggest physical test I've gone through still to this day. I knew that practice had to end at some point, but because my body was so weak my mind went with it. I can often dwell on the worst case scenarios rather than trust God to get me through it.
I recently sat down with Hope Darst, who has a new song called "The Mighty Name of Jesus". About 2 minutes in to the video, she has some incredibly wise words about following the truth of scripture instead of the feelings that can seem like reality. There's one incredible tactic she's taken to help guard against anxiety and depression.
