The KSBJ Morning Show visits Granny's Tamales

Posted 3 months ago - Dec 12, 2024

From: Reyna Reyna

Rachelle, Carder, and Reyna visit Granny’s Tamales where they quickly learn this is more than just a business, but a way owners Daniel and Tina Gonzalez give back.

Spending Christmas in prison is something Daniel knew well. At a young age he spent many years behind bars feeling forgotten. Exhausted with doing things his own way, he gave his life to Jesus. Not only did God change Daniel’s heart, He gave him an incredible new begining! Today he and his wife Tina Gonzalez own a successful business, Granny's Tamales. All throughout the year and especially during Christmas time they take warm tamales into prisons with a mission to let the inmates know- they are not forgotten. Sometimes our greatest struggles are what God uses to show His glory! If you are feeling forgotten this Christmas let Daniel’s story remind you of God’s faithfulness. He is the great redeemer, and your story is far from over!

We were thrilled to get a behind the scenes look, and we even tried our hand at making tamales.
