Loving Houston One Yard at a Time

Posted 2 days ago - Sep 3, 2025

From: Reyna Reyna

What would happen if we sat and heard someone’s story—not rushed, not thinking of what we could get in return, no motives, just listening? Brothers Daniel and Martin Hernandez are living in the blessing of listening and serving compassionately.

The idea started four years ago when Daniel and his father, who offer paid lawn care services, met a client who told them she couldn’t afford her medication. Seeing the look on her face in that moment inspired them to do her lawn for free and to cut back on paid jobs so they could dedicate at least one day a week to clearing overgrown lots free of charge.

Today, you can find also providing free pressure-washing services to Houstonians in need. This is how Martin, who works for a chemical company, and Daniel, a landscaper, spend their days off. These guys are awesome, and of course, we had to tell them!

If you need this family’s services, you can reach out to them at mdlawncare2020@gmail.com
