Love Your (non Christian) Neighbor

Religion, Money and Politics. All things that you don't bring up on a first date.

Really, those are 3 things most people won't discuss at all with an acquaintance. And while all have their place, whether or not there is a God who loves us is most important by far. As a Christian, I've been told over and over it's important to share my faith. And while how I love people gets me a seat at the table; someone smarter than me once said the gospel is information. Words must be used to share the message of Jesus. However, I must also listen to understand where someone is coming from, and why they believe what they believe.

I've been on this journey to understand different faiths. I'm a curious person anyway, plus I don't want to "strawman" someone's belief. You know, like how someone might say "oh those Christians, they believe they can sin as much as they want, then ask God for forgiveness and it's all ok". That's where many Christians would scream, "WE DON'T BELIEVE THAT!". Yet, Christians make these broad sweeping statements of Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and more all the time. And how can we share the good news of Jesus to someone: when we don't take time to understand what they actually believe?

Here is your invitation to review Islam, Mormonism, and more with me as I talk to the people that currently, or formerly held those beliefs!
