A Very Texas Christmas
Posted 10 months ago - Dec 14, 2025
From: RachelleHere in Texas instead of sleigh bells, we have cow bells.
Instead of snow we’re blowing leaves with leaf blower.
Instead of reindeer we have steers.
Instead of cranberry sauce it’s hot sauce around these parts.
Instead of cider, we’re sippin’ on sweet tea.
instead of skis we’re repping our cowboy boots.
Instead of a sleigh Santa rides in on a tractor.
And we don’t leave cookies and milk out for Santa, he prefers chips and queso.
Instead of hustle and bustle its pardon me ma’am, and good ol’ southern manners.
And instead of, twas the night before Christmas, our story goes, An angel of the Lord appeared to them and said, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.”
We all know that we do things "bigger" and, we think, "better" here in Texas. This is how we get a Texas Christmas done!--Rachelle & Carder
Now listen to it one more time, beautifully told by our own Bill Ingram.
