'Encouragement' 10-17-2009| 'Carolyn ''Howell' 'This summer I had some reconstructive surgeries to straighten out my femurs, tibias, and feet. I had the surgeries June 15th which was the very beginning of the summer. When I came home from the hospital six days after my surgery I had a long journey ahead of me. I was not able to go upstairs in my house which meant i could not sleep in my room, or take ANY bath OR shower. Well, somedays I would feel down and alone. I am the only christian in the household, so most of the time God was my only support especially late at night when i would cry myself to sleep, because i was immobilized for so long. Well on the those days I would turn on KSBJ and listen to the encouraging songs knowing that God was on my side and there to help me get through this challenge. Whenever I had some time alone I would turn up the volume, dance(as well as i could in a wheelchair), and sing along with the worship songs. it lifted my spirits and helped me get on with my day. Ya'll are great and I love this station!!!!'
